Some people might benefit from them - for example people with Alzheimer's disease who have lost the capability to not only buy food and cook but also to use utensils.

Some of them can still eat with their fingers but...they tend to stuff their mouth and then spurt it out when they are about to choke because their swallowing capability is not that good anymore.

It's much simpler to give them soup or something like THAT stuff, I suppose. But for normal people? If you're that busy, you better take a look at your life.

I shop at BJ's so it saves some money, but you could get similar but slightly higher prices elsewhere

>Rice: Essentially free when you look at a single meal. Buy a 50 lb bag for like $25 and it will last you like 150 meals. I prefer brown rice which is a little more expensive, but still cheap. Maybe $1/pound.

>Milk: As a protein source this is top notch. Costs less than $3 a gallon at BJ's, closer to $4 at a regular grocery.

>Eggs: Got more expensive recently, I get 18 a week for about $3.50. When they were cheaper I'd buy a lot more.

>Lentils: Lots of protein and nutrients, $1.29 for a 1 lb bag.

>Vegetables: I buy frozen vegetables usually, 2 lb bag of spinach costs $3. Broccoli is comparable. Those are pretty much the only vegetables I eat consistently week.
>Bananas. A bunch is like $1.50 or less.
>Apples (Fuji)
>Peanut Butter: This is my guilty pleasure (Trader Joe's crunchy brand specifically). $2.50/lb which lasts a week.
>Chicken breast: $2.50/lb.
>Beef Liver: A favorite of mine, my grocery store only stocks like one lb at a time, but it is always $2/lb so I like to get it instead of chicken sometimes.

I'm probably forgetting other miscellaneous stuff like onions, garlic, etc.Obviously it's difficult to calculate exactly what my weekly expenditure is, but I think it's reasonable to see that I could eat approximately $4/day in food like this.

find a farmer shilling his own produce for dirt cheap - im in semi rural bongland - and know the days that shops mark down their food.

I did Soylent for a month. I added peanut butter, banana and protein to mine. I thought it tasted pretty decent. It was pretty convenient. I could make 2 days worth of "food" in 10 minutes. However it gave me horrible runny diarrhoea constantly, so.

If it didn't give me stomach problems I would probably drink it a few times a week.

>tasteless mush makes my life better

It has a creamy texture, and yes, it does make my life better. I'm losing weight and in general I'm just feeling better.

Can you imagine not eating?

Or more specifically can you imagine never getting hungry?

This is effectively as close as you can get to living without food. You can see the appeal of not having to deal with cooking, going out to get food, etc.

For NEETs, busybodies, or people that just don't give a fuck anymore, Soylent is a godsend. You mix some shit, cool it, drink it whenever you want, and you're full. It is the magic meal gum from Willy fucking Wonka. It is the cure for hunger.

That being said, I enjoy the taste of food and cooking too much to use Soylent, but you are either lying or a fucking idiot to not see the allure of removing one of the most arduous of human needs from your lifestyle.

Eurofag here. I'd like to give it a try.
What brand do you recommand?

It might be useful when I go in full alcoholic mode and don't give a fuck about cooking or eating. (inb4 I get calories from booze.)
