If you make it per the directions its actually about 1/3 less calories and no phosphoric acid or corn syrup. Still not good for you by a long stretch but at least its somewhat better than soda. I have it sometimes in the summer when I'm out doing physical stuff alongside tons of water. Usually though I just drink the slightly flavored carbonated water.
