I was recommended this show last time I posted on this board.

Watched a few episodes. I don't get it, honestly. It almost seems like the owner of the food network let his autistic nephew get his own show

it's not for everyone. i like it for the same reasons i like the food lab. he explains why you do what you do when you cook and by doing do teaches you how to improve on existing recipes and gives you fundamentals for making new recipes. none of that "sear to hold in the juices" crock or "salt before or salt after doesn't make a difference"
