What burger, in real life, is the 'tasty burger' from Pulp Fiction?

>> No.6976547

A burger made in a bowling alley concession stand by mexicans

It was a hawaiian burger if I recall correctly. Just a standard cheeseburger with a slice of pineapple

A large piece of plastic, because it was a prop, not a real burger.

I suspect a hawaiian burger would be more about using a King's Hawaiian bun than putting a slice of pineapple on the burger.

You suspect partially incorrectly. They'd definitely use a sweet roll. But almost always it involves pineapple and Teri, or shoyu.

That's how I imagined it, a normal fast food burger with sweet bread. Sounds good tbh

I forgot about the one he actually eats.

There's a prop burger and the burger he actually eats.

90s CGI wasn't THAT great.

To answer OP's question I think what they actually used in the movie was from McD's.

Burger looks too nice to be McDs.

It's a Big Kahuna burger. I go there all the time in LA. I'm drinking buddies with Tarantino and he said they used real ones from there. Samuel L Jackson had to eat about 10 before they got the right take.

The Big Kahuna

Inspiration: "Pulp Fiction"

What it is: Nebraska angus beef patty with charred pineapple, kalbi-marinated Spam, kimchi pickles, green curry mayo and housemade teriyaki sauce on a pan de sal bun.

That was one of the best burgers I had in a long time

>> No.6979051

Using that and not using a King's Hawaiian bun render it suitable only for hurling into the garbage at the highest possible velocity.

This literally the stupidest shit

The Big Kahuna in the movie is clearly some no frills, fast-good burger you buy off either a dollar menu, or at max something like five bucks

This is just an excuse to throw in every single Hawaiian/Japanese stereotype food into a burger, and charge someone what I assume should be a pretty penny for it, all the while ripping off a famous movie
