If you get have a chicken, great. Let those eggs sit. But store-bought eggs in North America are washed, losing the protective film, and a chemical film is added (which needs to be kept at a constant cool).

It might be "just a few hours", but that can seriously fuck them up. Maybe don't be such a retard next time and put them back where you got them so your parents don't have to waste more of their money on your fuck ups.

Unless you're literally getting the eggs straight from a chicken, or buying them from the amish, they're going to be done up the same way, every time, regardless of how "free range", "organic", or "additive free" they are. That's just how it is.

My parents won't even let me make bread.
They insist that leaving the dough to rise at room temperature will 'cause the yeast to birth'. they think because 'yeast is alive' that it will give birth to larvae. I think one of them ate a sandwich with a maggot once or something. Whenever I point out that bakeries make bread like this they tell me that bakeries use special air conditioning devices that release maggot stillbirth inducing toxins. I'd just like to interject for moment. What you're refering to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called Linux, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.
There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called Linux distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux!

The US Navy stores eggs aboard ship in the engine room, a place that's constantly 90+ American degrees and quite humid.

They're good for about a month that way; every so often the cooks will crack one open and find that it's rotten but then they just scrape it off the griddle and grab another. It's fine. Sailors aren't dying en masse of food poisoning.

Just saved some steaks, sausages and some aledobe into my freezer that have been outside for about 4 hours, before that they have been 8 days in fridge and before that another 4 hours in unrefrigerated car under sun.

Because this asshat thinks he has so fucking much money to throw fucking kilos of meat away just like that. Also, he doesn't wash dishes, he buys new. Not paper, porcelain. Also, 500€ nights at the bar are a norm. Fucking gold spoon in his ass manchild, the guy's a plumber but his rich daddy pays his bills.

Anyway, I reckon the meats are still barely edible, but must be cooked fast after thawing.

Because there is no bigger ass-hole elitist circle jerk on this earth but the cyclists. "THIS BOARD GETS TOO CLUTTERED WITH UR TRAIN AUTIST SHIT!" --> One post about trains on front page, the rest about bikes. "Post your bike." -> "This my trusty commuter I do 5 km every day all seasons :3 ..." -> "OMG FUCK OF WITH UR DUTCH GRANNYBIKE, GET REKT, GO LIGHT, GOTTA GO FAST HURRRRRRRR".

Fucking despicable.

The theory is that since our farms are industrial there is a sanitation problem with the eggs because agribusiness can't be trusted. Washing them with a chemical bath removes all the chicken shit

In Europe they think that their farmers will take care to not have shit on their eggs so washing is unnecessary. IIRC washing eggs is illegal in Britain

Here's your (You) for what I assume is deliberate misunderstanding

The reason you can't leave american eggs out of the fridge is that they have been washed, removing the film that protects it from bacterial inoculation. A chicken sitting on her own egg while incubating a chick is sitting on an unwashed egg, which will not spoil in a week. It has nothing to do with if the nest is clean or not

How about you wash the next egg one of your chickens poops out and put it back and see if that shit don't spoil

dumbass

eggs in europe aren't refrigerated in stores to prevent condensation. moisture can seep through the protective layer and it can contaminate the egg with pathogens that could be on the outside of the egg. the eggs still last longer if you put them in the fridge (avoid putting them in the fridge door, that's where the temp changes are the biggest when you open your fridge).
