Stop overreacting. Yes, the sidewalks in front of the fish markets are pretty ripe by the end of the day, but it isn't that bad.

As for where to eat, your pic is right around the corner from Nom Wah, where they sling average dim sum all day long in a tourist friendly environment. My guess is you wouldn't be able to handle much more than that.

That's the corner of Pell and Doyers in Manhattan. Famous corner. Streets ran red with blood there during the Tong Wars.

NYC has three Chinatowns. The biggest one is in Brooklyn, but the one in Queens probably has the best food.

Go to Shanghai cafe for soup dumplings

Bassanova ramen for green curry ramen (not chinese but still very good).

Wo Hop for dingy americanized chinese.

If you want dim sum jing fong for a crazy big food hall with those carts, or nom wah tea parlor for just regular table service. (much easier to get pork buns at nom wah fwiw)

In Queens I would recommend Imperial Palace on 37th Ave for old school Cantonese. But your pic is Manhattan, not Queens.

Yeah, there's two. One in New York city, one in Austin, TX.

Almost every major metropolitan city has one. Don't believe this man.

If you think Chinese food, one of the most mainstream ethnic cuisines in existence, is weird, then turn 360 degrees and walk away.

Cha Chan Tang - not for the food but for the tea.
Chinatown Ice Cream Factory, for obvious reasons
Restaurant? I have no fucking clue, sorry OP.

>Cha chan tang

I live in Hong Kong, that's just a generic name for a type of restaurant (i.e. 'casual dining restaurant'). It's weird seeing it used as the actual name of one.

Also it's 'Teng'.
