Blaand - a fermented milk viking drink

Has anyone ever had this? Has anyone ever made it? I'm interested but I'm sure there are better ways to make it than in this video. Probably more authentic ways, too, and I say that because the vikings didn't have lactaste tablets.

Also, what other weird fermented alcoholic drinks you've made/drank?
