Tabasco is overrated, it's too sour and not even that hot. Suggest other "universal" hot sauces.

Obviously cholula. best for eggs
Tapatio and valentina. latter being super cheap and thats why all mexicans use it
I like trappeys, its a louisiana hot sauce, though its not that hot. I like sriracha on noodles.

It's good if you put it on fatty food that goes well with some vinegar to balance it out. My favorite thing to put it on is a biscuit with over easy egg, onion, and cheddar.

I tried this recently on a whim since it's like 75 cents a bottle and I've been putting it on everything.

No vinegar but a little bit of sugar, I'd rather have garlic than sugar but it's pretty damn hot for a super cheap, generic-type sauce.

>> No.9748827

All hot sauces are overrated these days, because people abuse them. Hot sauce is a seasoning, but people douse fucking everything with it like maniacs. I love spicy food, but I should be able to get it the right spice amount without pouring hot sauce all over it after it's been cooked.. When used properly, hot sauce is great.

You just have to get used to it, is all. After a little over a week of dumping this stuff on my food, I can handle it much better than the first day. Used a large amount of it last night in a gochujang-based sauce for beef and it wasn't very hot.
