This. Also tell me where YOU could find mackerel fresh enough to eat raw near where you live. If you don't know fishermen near where they're they're caught you're SOL without paying top dollar.

>Only place near me that sells Horse Mackerel sushi is an ultra pretentious sushi house that's $185 without accompanying drinks for a set menu that may not even include mackerel and almost all its patrons are couples or groups, no singles

It was. Having a few fisherman friends off Long Island doesn't hurt either. Those guys use the Spanish mackerel the catch as bait. Having a couple with your number who come to Manhattan often means access to it just fresh enough. Lucky to get that several times a year.

Raw =/= fresh

>mackerel fresh

Mackerel can get Anisakis, so it's almost never served fresh. After it's flash frozen it doesn't matter where it has to go on earth.

Fresh fish is often a marketing scam for normies.

I lived in Japan for a few years, and no place accepted tips. A Japanese friend of mine who works as a waitress told me that a lot of people thinks that being given a tip is insulting because you're insinuating that they need the extra money.
