Bought pic related for my gf for christmas, hardly ever used them outside of cucumbers for garnish at the bar I work at. Since then we've used it in just about every meal we cook together. Wound up buying one for myself as a result.

It's best to have one with some kind of grip of you are concerned about fucking up your hands. Like using anything with a blade mindfulness is key. The one we got was this:
