Had some carne asada at a local place. It was great, and that was the first time I've had Mexican since I moved to CA a few months ago.

I think another thing about it is the setting. Usually when I get wings, I'm hanging out with friends, drinking beers and watching something on TV..like a football game.

They taste great, and honestly I think the messy part of it is fine..sorta like ribs.

My favorite sauce is Defcon 1.

Burger and sweet potato fries. The burger had diced garlic mixed into it, some black pepper, and blairs death rain nitro. On top was grilled onion and jalapeno with pepper jack cheese melted over them, applewood bacon, and some spicy bbq sauce I have. Then it was put on a grilled wheat bun.

While I agree the burgers at most of the chains posted here are not the best burgers, taking the complete opposite stance is just as bad as saying the burgers at 5 Guys are the best burgers ever.

Condiments (for everything, not just burgers) are supposed to enhance the overall flavor not cover it up.

When I make burgers at home, they are usually simpler. I mix either diced jalapenos or habaneros and onions and various spices in the burger, toast the bread on the grill, melt some cheese, put on some ketchup and mustard on it.

But if you think a good burger with cheese, jalapenos, crispy onion rings, bacon and bbq sauce is a crime then you need to learn about burgers.

Before pulling it apart, I took it out and wrapped it in foil for 5 min or so. Next, I put it on a roll with some cole slaw and on of my favorite spicy bbq sauces.

I've done it in the oven a few times and it can definitely turn out to be really good. True, it will lack the smoked flavor but does the trick if you don't have access to outdoor cooking methods.

I rubbed a boston butt down with jalapeno mustard then patted on a mixture of black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and and blair's death rain nitro. Later I put it in the oven at 250 also but don't remember the time as it's been a while since I've made it. If you google recipes, you can get a good idea of how long, 8 hours sounds right to me though.

Pic related, and the two forks I used to pull it apart.
