"It's a diffractIon-grating effect, like the rainbow sheen on a CD. Because meat's made of fairly evenly sized and spaced muscle fibers of micrometer scale, if it's sliced right, you'll get a diffraction grating. Light diffracts off of it and splits into colors."

Hope this helps ya out OP. If you end up creating an awesome dish, you should post results.

/sci/ provides! I don't know how you can apply this to a dish, however, but knowing about how it works will probably help OP come up with an idea.

I'm not a huge fan of fruit with a meat and veggie dinner/meal, unless its in a little cup on the side. But even then, I usually save it for a desert.

Other than that it looks pretty good.

Well in that case, if I were you, I would just eat smaller meals, try to vary it a bit-make sure your getting enough veggies and fruits, and just not eat until you feel hungry.

I can't eat right when I get up in the morning, I have to wait like an hour.

That's probably not a good thing...

Is that from the fat in the meat? It's never bothered me, but my fiance refuses to eat it if he sees it.

Do you do do any heavy exercise, or get enough exercise in general? Your body could just not need as much food as your giving it.

What about a multi-layer cheese dip?

onions, mushrooms, broccoli, sausage, and lots of cheese. Gotta cook all those ingredients together while your prepping the eggs, otherwise they taste crunchy and gross in the cooked egg.

Annies Naturals shiitake sesame dressing, and/or a good creamy ceaser

What sort of dish are you trying to prepare? You could probably use some type of oils on top of a soup, or if you're just going for a rainbow type thing, maybe some mashed potatoes with some food dye.

It's not a myth, it's just a ratio thing. Normal, milk chocolate has so little cacao that it usually won't effect a dog. Dark chocolate with more than 60% cacao is verging on dangerous, especially if a small dog like a chihuahua gets a hold of a whole bar of it. So it's just the cacao you have to keep in mind, and if you think your dog ate a pretty large amount of it and starts to get sick, you should get them into the vet as soon as possible.

>Rare, 125 F

Damn, none of the restaurants in my town know how to make a rare steak. I always have to tell them 'make it as raw as you are legally allowed to do'.

If I tell them rare, I end up getting a medium rare and it pisses me off.

Yes, as snacks. Never let your dog get a hold of dark chocolate-cocoa is poison to them, fresh garlic or onions, grapes or especially raisins, and don't ever let them tear up and ingest a tomato plant. Not the tomatoes themselves, but the leaves and bark.
