The method wouldn't have made a difference. The rabbit kept of of my grasp. He would have done it regardless of the method I had planned because he escaped before any hypothetical method could take place. I had two decisions. Let the rabbit escape, or kill it. I wanted to minimize the amount of pain for the animal. I do not not want to cause unnecessary suffering

Detail shot. Imma chow down and drink beer and play some skyrim. I will come back some time and tell you how it tasted.
Thanks to all the participators. Thanks to all the animal rights activists complaining: you guys kept the thread bumped.

I love you all.

I am noticing a lot of spelling errors in my posts. My apologies. I have been drinking said Corona. (In before pleb beer accusations, I wanted cheap beer to afford quantity)

Anyone know what language this is? This is my beer drinking mug.

Put ton foil to trap moisture. Put ut in the oven for 2-3 hours at 350. I also made an apple pie. This is the first time making such a pie. I think I fucked it up.
Will post pics when done.

I seasoned everything with the salt, pepper, thyme, bay leaves.
I poured 12 oz of Corona (only beer I had) and 6 oz of water alongside the boullion.

I'm sorry this became a shit slinging fest. YesI should have kept my mouth shut regarding the origin. Then this thread would not have been clogged with protest.
I did not lie to the woman out of Shame. I lie to her for two reasons. A. She might not have given me the animals otherwise. B. to give the woman peace of mind.
If someone you cared about died a prolonged death, you don't want to hear about their suffering. You want to doctors to lie to you and tell them that they didn't suffer.

I just need to buy a gun and go hunting just so I can avoid this hypocritical bitch fest. From my woman and from the people acting like women on this board.

Today I will try round two with pic related sans the ham. I want to taste the rabbit this time and not confuse it with flavors of other meat. Thanks to the anon who suggested this recipe.

To the people criticizing the stew: Yes the picture looks a bit gross. But have any if you tasted it? No.

It smelled amazing. It tasted strange, but good. I would give it a 7.5/10. I have no idea what words to describe the taste. My cullenary vocabulary isn't that developed. I called it slop for a reason.

I would like to get into hunting. I'm hoping my woman will get me a 22 rifle for Christmas.

Valid point. I should make a distinction. My intention was not to post the pictures so as to offend. I posted them to show the process and to enable discussion.

There is no way to prove that I am not a troll, so I will stop trying. You can certainly leave the thread, or you can stay and talk about food with us.

After everything is said and done I got a hot bowl of this slop. The dish is unlike any thing I have tasted before. The red wine mixes well with the spices.

I still have one rabbit. I might try that grandma dish someone mentioned above. Do people want to see pictures of that? Or is the demand gone?

So I threw everything in the pan to simmer together and let it sit on low for over two hours. The house filled with the strong scent.

I minced shallots and garlic to sauté in the same drippings. Holy shit this is the biggest garlic cloves I have seen.

Is there a reason why you would use shallots over onions? Is the taste that different?

If I'm a troll then I must be a poor one. I have taken a tremendous amount of effort with little results. The previous owner texted me this morning. I sent her an image that I took before I butchered them.
The purpose of this thread is not to upset people. If it was I wouldn't be posting about the cooking process. I would just focus on the rabbit "murder"

I took the rabbit bits and tossed them in salt flower and pepper. I drained the bacon and browned the rabbit in the bacon grease.

So this was done at my place of work. They have the shittiest kitchen utensils. I put the bacon on to fry while I cut the meat from the car ass. Any tips mr butcher on this step? It too me quite a while.

So I kinda fucked the whole recipe up. I added wayyy too much bacon to the dish. But I didn't want to disappoint mi amigos.
So we got rabbit, bacon, shallots (never cooked with these before), garlic, red wine, salt pepper flour, chicken boo-yon, thyme, rosemary, bay leaves, raspberry jelly (why was this part of the recipe?) black peppercorns(redundant?) and lemon juice
