So, to maintain 3dp topics, and following the rule that material and manufacture discussion, including parts related to the build process and plastics in question, are allowed per the sticky: 3d printed lowers in PLA are suitable >and work fine. Don't leave them in your car though. Look at this picture of just the parts supported and built by a 3d printer in PLA, which has worked and maintained its structural integrity.
