Pay attention to shoulders and silhouette. the jacket in op is more like an "enlarged" jacket with very wide shoulders and long set-in sleeves in a heavy/stuff wool blend which makes him look like a child wearing an adults jacket. Wide-and-long jackets can be more difficult to pull off than fitted-and-long jackets. A raglan sleeve or a dropped armhole in a softer, more unstructured fabric is usually more forgiving if you are going for a more japanese/popeye-style oversized look. Cuff your sleeves if they look too long, I personally think the Vetements-style too-long sleeve trend is difficult to pull off well and ends up sloppy and childish on most people.
