New milspo/terrorwave thread? Old one reached bump limit.

How do you manage this style in warm weather? It seems like the core parts of this fashion involve long pants, boots and some kind of parka, jacket or coat.
How would you make a version of it that still retains the style but is tolerable to wear in summer?

I wear one of these jackets regularly, i love it. Maybe you're just too autistic to feel comfortable challenging fashion norms instead of trying to fit in.

It's a Czech M85 Parka, get one before supplies dry up online - they're not as bountiful as they used to be.

As for the Austrian M65, I can't say I've seen one that utilized Gore Tex before, but the dense cotton of the more readily available ones does a good job of keeping you dry. Get one in your size, and you'll be set with a garment that will last for years.

What are some examples of military looks that actually look good and don't leave you looking like some paramilitarist conspiracy nut?

I mean, not trying to imply that I aren't a paramilitarist conspiracy nut, I just don't want to conspicuously look like one.

>tfw the military/earthtone/workwear threads are never popular

But earthtones are objectively the best color pallette.

Post inspo and discuss.

What do you think of military inspired fashion and wearing militaria and surplus, /fa/?

I've been trying to get a nice wardrobe together, and I've been liking the look of some of that stuff, and think it goes well with my existing clothes of mostly just jeans and t shirts.

Looking for some inspiration for this kind of look.

Sell it on eBay, there will always be buyers for M85s - especially with the rapid depletion of stocks in this past year or so. If you're still interested in owning one, I'd recommend you cop quickly as they may not be around for much longer.

As for proper sizing, I'll be the first to admit that I'd shill for Varusteleka any day of the week - and with good reason! If you have any inquiries about sizing, e-mail their outstanding customer service. They have charts for nearly all forms of modern European military surplus, and will typically reply within a few days.

This is also Czech, in the Vz85 pattern - most of these jackets are easy to find so I wouldn't pay more than $20 for one, and that's really, really pushing it.

You've got me, maybe it's just because of who buys them? How they're worn? It's all nonsense.

You won't regret it, especially if you get one in your size, it'll last longer than you will and keep your warm all winter, and when the weather warms up a little, just take the liner out.

Oh man, you should see that one guy on /k/ who has all those mint-condition East-German uniforms.

You should definitely swing by the milsurp threads sometime, I can think of a few guys (myself included) who'd gladly pay your price + international shipping just to get their hands on some nice gear right from the source.
