Reposting from fuccboi general, didn't realise there was a /hair/ general. My bad. Incoming textwall.

I've got rather long hair for a bloke and I really need to have it cut. My army application was rejected so there aren't any strict regulations on how short it needs to be anymore, although as an engineering student I'm in a workshop quite frequently.
Currently hair is shoulder-length and quite curly and can get v. frizzy if I haven't washed it for a day or so. It's impractical and annoying, gets hot in the summer, and I don't think it looks all that great. I feel most of these problems could be solved if I got it cut, especially the sides which are shoulder-length as well. Usually I have it all tied back in a ponytail but this is only a temporary solution.

My questions are as follows:
>Is it possible to turn hair as I've described into pic related?
>Somewhat similar question, is it possible to permanently straighten or thicken this horrible mess?
>Already got the beard sorted, I'm white and hair is similar colour to pic related. Assuming I've got the right facial structure would I still look like a complete autist with a Big Boss haircut?
