Last thread you mentioned in, Ive been looking all around for that exact model, but either the hands were different, or the dial was marked Leonidas, or the pushers were round. I never quite got the exact spec/combo in your pic, so it ...might.... be a frankenwatch.
Movementwise, Valjoux 72 or 92 perhaps?

How much chronograph capability do you really need? Half an hour? One hour? 24 hours?

I am of the same practical rationale. Problem is, very little share the same sentiment, I guess. The amount of gorgeous watches, ruined by the unnecessary complication of muh mechanical and thus exorbitant pricing and buttfuckery.
I just want a gorgeous watch that I can keep in a box for a month, or pick up whenever and it will be still on time (maybe a missed date), but still accurate enough. I have pretty automatics that I love the look of, but the winding and adjusting is a pain (kind of a precisionist autist), but if they were quartz,I would wear them day and night.
I could write whole articles about mechanicals being shit and the watch industry heading in .... what direction exactly? All of the oldfag companies are looking for nonexistent problems to bring up and solve, problems you would never have with a quartz, extreme precision, resistance to gravitational and magnetic forces, legibility, extra shit like alarms, time zones, backlight and whathaveyou. A 10 buck terrorist casio would put all haute horlogerie piece to the grave if it were all about practicality and sense.

Yet here we are, lusting after 8 day power reserves, hand-wound deadbeat vintages and whatever else tism niche you have, going for thousands on end.

tl;dr I find it a shame that the market dictates that a high end watch must be muh mechanical chronmetre officially certified memematic etc etc.

Whatever happened to the oysterquartz? Excellent case and dial design, beautiful finishing, unkillable and precise movement. Have watches fallen under the same bane like cars, disposable bling?

pic rel, hand wound tiny case, thicc as fucc, but goddamn if the aesthetics arent to die for

The hell is the reverse V?
AZBUKA has no such letter? What country is the watch from?

To your question, everyday use, or occasion?

>a 1.5k odd-manufacturer variant of a 2.5k+ Heuer chrono
Please dont remind me of this purchase possibilitty. The case size, shape, bezel thinness and extremely utilitarian aesthetics make my heart ache. That said, I would probably try to save up for the Heuer (blue on silver) if I were to pursue.

A cold shower might be the case thickness relative to the diameter, keep that in mind.

I already raised an eyebrow when I saw 5 buck alibaba/wish watches that were a ripoff of a 10buck terrorist Casio, but actually making a FAKE of it...cmon son, you have the resources to make a fake watch and choose this? I think it is just some Casio factory worker collecting all the ones that didnt pass QC and selling them off. Or maybe not, who knows, if something would cost 1 buck, chingchong would sell a copy of it for 20-50 cents like those aliexpress graphics cards.

Im afraid of buying a vintage sub-40mm watch thinking it would look feminine.

Pastel colored canvas maybe? The polished case kindof limits the military/tool strap choices imo. Also, dont buy suede straps from cheapestnatostraps. The name fits, mine is about to tear at the lugs after about a month of wear and the second holding ring has stretched.
