let me give some tips from exp.
families arent everything for free.
families are a trade.
you get the family perks by acting like a member and not going solo
would you tell a mother whose her son is home 10% of the day / cuts all ties / hasnt had a conversation with him for weeks / loses 50 pounds in 2 months "its just who he is let him be" ?
thats call neglect and if a parent does that it means 100% of the time that he doesnt give a single fuck about the kid.
if thats what type of family youre looking for then thats cool
it might sound "wrong" to you but the mental hospital is what a real parent would do.
ease up on them, play by their rules a bit..you dont have to go full skelly at 16
