Where to buy good quality mass-market socks?

I am used to H&M. I also don't like uniqlo, since they leave fabrics on the insole, neither they are very comfortable.

I need plain long black and white summer socks, which are thick enough, yet they let feet to breathe and don't leave fabrics.

If you know a place, where to buy something like Rick socks at discount (I am going to rock Dries and Rick as my shoes), I would be very gratefull.

They don't look terrible but the only reason to buy them over more established shoes with pretty much the same aesthetic (e.g. Roshes) is so you're not wearing the same thing as everyone else. In which case you should be confident enough to buy them and put them on your feet and then ask for opinions. hard mode, go to /ic/ and download the color theory pdf from the sticky.
/fa/ mode: wear only black until you figure out texture, drape, etc., by then you'll never want to wear color anyway

I can't even find solid color shirts that fit me well. Uniqlo OCBDs are mediocre. Land's End Sail Rigger gets rave reviews so I tried a bunch. they have 3 fits: traditional, tailored, and slim. Slim fits awkwardly on the upper chest. Tailored is ok on the upper chest, but the arms are baggy. Also it has a back dart / gusset thing between the shoulders. I'm not sure what it's called. I was going to just alter the sleeves narrower myself, but that back fold thing is a dealbreaker for me.

Have you already found any solid-color button downs that fit you well or are you just starting with plaid for some reason?

Yeah, that's what I meant thanks. I think the back of the shirt looks much cleaner without it, especially since the vertical line flattens out and makes it inherently frumpier. But I just started dabbling in OCBDs so maybe that'll change as I learn.

Thanks for the recs. I would prefer to buy from a burgerland-based retailer for returns. site design reminds me of this though:

I love rock music and listen to it all the time. I like to stand out from other people. I love the early 90's grunge style but I really don't know where to buy shit or anything about fashion in general. I have thick long brown hair, am a male, 5'9, 150, very lanky (arms swing past hips and very thin and I have decent muscular build) I can't stand the fuckers who think they are grunge because they own a Nirvana shirt and shit. you style doesnt randomly get handed to you, it should just be defined by wearing clothes that you appreciate the design of and work well together, this should then naturally have certain identifiable features because it is defined by your taste, your style should come about the other way, by you trying to dress towards some style that has identifiable features
also, the fact that you listen to rock doesnt have to define your style, it may well end up that way
if you want to start getting into fashion then it would not be a bad idea to follow runway fashion, there is much more creativity and interesting explorations of fashion design through that and will give you a much better idea of the possibilities that you can do with you clothes
maybe read the sticky if you have absolutely no idea what youre doing, but take it with a grain of salt as its not the best resource

I was gifted this Nike Tech Sphere jacket recently, however I'm having a hard time putting it into any real outfits as my wardrobe is more "classic" (jeans, sweaters, leather jackets) because of how "techy" it is - I think it looks really goofy with jeans and the hood lays really awkwardly when down. then just read about hedi slimane, and his muscian inspo. his work for dior homme was what got me into fashion years ago. google is your friend in general.

at some point the more money = better quality equation obviously doesnt work anymore. what you are paying for is the design. dont save up all your money to buy 1 or 2 designer pieces. buy second hand, thrift, or look at cheaper (cheaper not cheap) brands that go for the same aesthetic.
the rockers who inspired hedi for example sure as hell didnt start out with the money to buy dior, but he found that they could dress well, none the less. as i said, just look more places not just fa. one month is not long by the way, dont expect to be spoonfed with expert fashion knowledge. you gotta put in some effort
