Do you have any experience with 5boro? I wanted to buy a skateboard deck online, but there are no terms involving international shipping, and I don't want to be scammed. Also, do you know similar skateboard shops with effay decks?

I've peeped these boards for wall art just cause they're hot to me. I don't skate and am probably too old to start but fuck I want one.

It's not really that hard to skate, just give it a shot.

Never too old, you can always just cruise about. Literally only takes 3 hours or so to learn how to ride confidently, I'd recommend going to an indoor park that offers tuition lessons, one lesson will get you riding. Things to learn: step on, step off, positioning, pushing, kick and carve turn, inclines, stopping - that's literally all there is.

fucking awesome makes the most "effay" decks and they have the best shape

where are you trying to buy from?

mate there's a reason palace decks aren't expensive and don't sell out

its cos they're shitty

you are never too old, buy a deck, try it and if you don't enjoy it you still have the option of wall art

5boro decks are really good, i had that 1996 board in white. it was shaped a bit, not basic popsicle, but it was a subtle shape... liked it a lot & wouldnt hesitate to go for another.

i guess fucking awesome can be considered /fa/, but also too trendy to really be /fa/... they're as big as superstars on white girls. I'd say cliché, magenta, and habitat are pretty /fa/ coming from a skater perspective.

They got some nice graphics but that's it. I cracked my deck within 2 or 3 weeks of light skating. Hadn't had a Polar deck since tho.

Atleast I could salvage the edgy graphic.

I really like the SOVRN ones but too bad you can't get them where I live.

There's hardly any differences durability wise between decks manufactured by the "big" companies. You just got unlucky.

Yea I know that there is barely any difference.
So yes most likely I was just unlucky thats why I wrote that I had no Polar deck since so that I can't tell much about the build quality. But having it skated for only a few weeks put me off buying another from Polar.

Pic related was a good deck.
