So I just copped pic related and they're great but came with some vile vinegar-like smell. I'm planning to machine wash them, which I'm not super excited about. Anyone got experience with getting rid of that smell? (I'm assuming it's the black dye desu)

febreze
Put in zip lock bag with some lemons
Throw in freezer

You’re welcome

I thought putting them in the freezer kills only smell that's there because of bacteria, this seems like something chemical

most black raw denim has a slight rotten egg smell to them. it goes away after yu wear them a bunch or you can just cold wash/soak and hang dry them

Yea I'm just a bit scared because I used to have a pair and they had a chemical smell too that never went away

Are those Nudie? Nudie is shit! Furthermore, DON’T FUCKING WASH THEM ESPECIALLY NOT MACHINE WASH JESUS CHRIST HOW CAN YOU BE SO DUMB?!?

That's what happens when you cheap out on raw denim OP. You get what you pay for.

Solid advice, thank mr anon

Those are not raw

It's because they're dyed with sulphur. The smell will go away quicker on good quality cotton, so you don't need to worry about it staying forever.
If you desperately want to get rid of the smell right away, wash them in warm water with a bit of white vinegar then drip dry, this isn't very good for the jeans though.

Not him but I kinda agree, Nudie is not very good quality, though for the price, I think you did plenty fine. Thin Finn is probably my favorite cut of them as well, though that obviously depends on ones body and preference.
Washing them on delicate cycle should get rid of the smell, though there might be some color loss. Washing them also helps to set in and reserve the color bit better, so if you are about sicc fadezzz as fast as possible don't bother.

Yea I don't think Nudie is that good but for 50€ I think it's a good deal, also I love the way the Thin Finn fits me, exactly what I've been looking for.

Right now I decided to give them a cold soak for a few hours, dry them and see how the smell is. If they still smell I will wash them on delicate with some vinegar and hope it goes away.

Also don't really care for the fadezzz on this one, They got my raw denim boner going tho, so I'm looking at some N&F right now

Copped my last thinn finns for around same price I think, they lasted for bit under a year before crotch blowout I didn't bother to fix cause they have faded to garbage at that point. But I basically were nothing but them for that year so it figures.

I'd just throw em in mahcine then, moderate amount of detergent and the smell should be gone. Iron them for good measure, should give the color some staying power as well.

Am I doing this right? 36 seems too long but I miss that I can't cuff them without them turning into cropped pants when I sit down

>> No.13103493

>>13103323
Well it depends on the style of the pant and the length of your legs but that model is way too short to wear a 32. The fabric bunches together at the knees and ankles despite being cuffed twice

I wear raws and machine washing is fine unless you want some sick reddit fades
Jeans were made for working in, you think they won't hold up in the wash? Going for long periods of not washing them actually increases sediment buildup which wears away at the denim faster.

If u wash them they will turn blue isn't that obvious.? What a pile of crap . Waste of money, who lists at 179cm anyway, just say you are a short manlet

>> No.13104669

Reporting back, did a cold soak for a few hours and then let the washing machine squeeze the water with a bit of vinegar. They still stink a bit at the crotch but smelling like 80% of it you can't smell anything
