I impulse bought pic related over the weekend, and I'm wearing it for the first time tonight. I don't usually enjoy concept fragrances, but this Replica has really hit its mark. It's surprisingly wearable, not all patchouli and cannabis, as there's a good bit of sweetness and some animalic skin / leather going on as well. If anything it might have too much apple for guys who aren't accustomed to unisex frags. If you require a manly patchouli, try Boss Cashmere Patchouli or Zegna Javanese Patchouli. As for Music Festival, it's decently complex, captures the feeling of a crowd of stoned hippies without too much funk, and delivers on the herbal / weed notes.

somebody in my office uses one that smells like JPG Le Male. I thought I was hallucinating since that thing is watered down like crazy nowadays because I was smelling the craziest strong JPG ever. It wasn't anybody around me because I asked everyone, and then this one guy walked past and it got even more intense. I asked him if he's wearing JPG and he said "yea but its one of those Arab versions, you just rub the oil on your skin"

Literally the entire office smells like Le Male every day.

It’s pretty good for a designer scent, just not terribly versatile.

The meme comes from some dipshit a while back asking for advice about what to buy to impress his business partners. He’d narrowed it down to Invictus or Eros and when we pointed out that neither was a good choice for a business setting, he went on a rant about how he was a young entrepreneur like Elon Musk or Mark Zuckerberg, and was saying that all the scents we suggested from Creed or Tom Ford we’re old man scents, only appropriate for 40+ men. He also said Creed created GIT for Cary Grant, despite the fact that when GIT came out, Grant was in his 80s, long since retired, and died the following year.

I finally go to sample Viking. I’ve gotta say, I like it a lot. A lot spicier than I thought it’d be. You get really heavy lavender, pink pepper, mint, and vetiver in the opening. It really hits you. You start to get the Rose, citrus, and sandalwood as it dries.

Definitely not “the next Aventus”, but I don’t think it was ever meant to be. I’ll be copping once it hits the discount sites or the next time I’m in Europe.

Aventus would probably work too, though in my opinion it is a bit of a younger man’s scent, and Pineapple Vintage is a thing. Clive Christian Rock Rose (I’m wearing that today, actually). A bunch of Tom Ford scents, most of his fragrances are aimed at older guys anyway. I like some of the Acqua di Parma scents.

Just wrap the bottle really well, I usually wrap it in paper and put it inside a cosmetics bag, then wrap the bag in a few t shirts, then cram the whole thing between some clothes in my suitcase. Never had a problem.

If you’ve got money, try some of Roja’s older scents. He worked for Guerlain for many years and many of his older scents are based on old school classic fragrances.

Guerlain are a good option despite the whole IFRA/EU regs, they still stick to heritage for a couple of their classics. Roja was a staff trainer in Guerlain's beauty department and did talks and promo stuff, not a nose per se, but some of the frags Robertet made for his company follow a classical template, definitely worth looking for decants as opposed to full bottles.

I'm looking to get some spring/summer fragrances.
Any suggestions?

I'm currently thinking about getting Versace Pour Homme, Eau Fraiche and GIT since they were my favorites out of the samples I've tried.
I would have liked getting Bergamote 22, but it's a bit too expensive.

Don't wear fragrances to interviews. You may think you have the perfect one for them, or that it's really light etc. Don't. I wear perfume all the time, even when I'm alone, but if it's the one time you have to grin and bear it without perfume, it's interviews. It's not worth it.

No, it's distracting and it's a bad gamble on whether or not the interviewer likes it or not. It doesn't add anything to the interview and there's a big chance he/she might not find it to his tastes. Wearing perfume to an interview also might come off as incredibly tryhard/ douchebag-like.

You're all free to take my advice or leave it, but it's really well known that job interviews are the one place you really should lay off the trigger. I'm just trying to help.
