I then dig a bit into fragrantica, read a few articles, and figured out why I liked these. I also thought about which fragrances always get me a lot of compliments since I interact with a shit ton of people daily. I don’t really understand the concept of being told what smells good off of no other base than “this guy smelled it.” At the risk of sounding ignorant, it just makes zero sense to me. I think the European Union is a foe, what they do to us in trade. Now, you wouldn’t think of the European Union, but they’re a foe. We want to have a fair trade deal and we’re looking to have a fair trade deal and hopefully we can work something out.

Over the years the United States has been losing hundreds of billions of dollars with the European Union, and we just want it to be a level playing field for our farmers, for our manufacturers, for everybody, and we also want a big beneficiary frankly to be the European Union, so we think it can be good for everybody and that’s what we’re here to discuss.

If we could have no tariffs and no barriers and no subsidies, the United States would be extremely pleased. We want reciprocal. So whether it’s with European Union or others, it has to be reciprocal in nature at a minimum. We’re working on that and I think we’re making tremendous strides.

Coach for Men or Coach for Men Platinum? The original was very nice at first, but started getting sick of it after the 5th or so wear. I smelled it on someone else at work and it smelled nauseating and headache inducing. I kept thinking “is that what I smell like?” and stopped wearing it. Im assuming it’s the ambroxon and harsh artificial sweetness, which I can’t really stand personally. I blind bought it because i didn’t have a “ generic shower gel” frag in my collection and it was for $30 bucks, so why not. It’s not something I would wear again since smelling it on someone else. I have since bought BdC Parfum and 1 Million Lucky instead to fill that void. Bleu de Chanel Parfum is so lovely please check it out. I’m giving it CfM to my dad or little brother.

I don’t hate it, I just don’t love it. Definitely a safe gift for someone who doesn’t have a fragrance.

Bump for OG Santal

>> No.13663138

Will be getting myself DHI, Ultra Male, Spicebomb Extreme and maybe one other. Thoughts on these?

Joop and individual are the same in strength but not longevity.
Santal has a better staying power without being overwhelming.
The two are also cheaper but don't last as long.
If you can afford Santal (I paid about 159 after taxes and shipping)then I recommend it, otherwise just get diet Santal

Santal and Individuel are really similar. Definitely dont think it's worth paying 8x the price for the Creed, but I dont find OS very interesting regardless.

I wore la CDNI for the first time yesterday, got a ton of compliments and women were being flirty with me.

I have 10-15 more expensive bottles. CDNI is fucking good I guess, I personally can barely stand it but I get tons of compliments whenever I wear it.

Just copped this bad boy after a month of deciding between this and encre noire for the fall/winter. Probably going to buy encre noire later on though.
My only issue with it; am I not going to smell dated? I absolutely love the smell and so far it's my favorite from the A*men line(although I haven't smelled pure havane and pure malt).

Also as a sidenote: Can you anons reccomend something similar to The Dreamer? I absolutely fell in love with it and it always makes me feel special when wearing it. I'm not asking for a similar scent per se, only for a frag that is capable of creating a similar feel

Like Layton with more sandalwood and slightly less sweetness. The note lists online aren't accurate at all. I definitely get sandalwood, vanilla, and patchouli as the core of the scent. The rest is extraneous and just feels like PdM house base to me.

Carlisle could be a second Layton flanker if it weren't introduced a year prior to the original. I could see wearing it as an evening fragrance in the summer and during the daytime in fall and winter.

would you really call sauvage a 'head turner'? I dont feel it has enough projection

the answer to your question is in this thread but i dont want to shill it too hard because id prefer to keep it exclusive. As long as a frag has good advertising like sauvage it will be a commercial success.

yeah i wear it as a cheap day-to-day fragrance and constantly get compliments. colognes/perfumes are an even more niche hobby than fashion, and a lot of the people "into" it are just rich kids who buy all the expensive designer brands. so yes, you can very easily get away with having the vast majority of people assume something as humble as pure havane is a special smell
