Orient's "in house" is really Seiko designs. Almost all of the orient calibers have a Seiko sibling.

Here’s the white face. All the dials are lacquered, using about 8-12 layers. They had trouble with the „Audemars Piguet” on the dial and it took them „2 years to develop the technique”. They were having problems with it sinking into the lacquer and the thin lines of the letters disappearing. If you look at the applied logo, it looks enlarged and they had to do that because of the problems stated, my assumption is, to balance the entire face, they used thicker numbers. In turn, it cheapened the look of the watch.

The dial would rotate counter clockwise, so the hour is always at the top, but the minutes hand would rotate clockwise, though slower to compensate. My current daily wear: Vostok Amphibia with a Zuludiver NATO strap and new Bezel. It's a really good daily beater; keeps the time well, is pretty unique and I'm not shitting myself about damaging it.

I'd love it to be comfy to look at, refined but not minimalist and definitely not gaudy and overly fancy with its look.
