You're too much of a beginner to be saying this. Try to nail the basics before being adventurous. Anyway your outfit is fine by normie standards however if you want to be tip you need trousers that fall straight or with a slight taper, that are higher rise, that match the formality/informally of the jacket and that complement the jacket's colour (i.e. not black but a lighter colour). For your jacket you need to spend a little more money or get a quality jacket second hand. A blue blazer from Spier and Mackay or a vintage brooks/Ralph would be good. You want flannel/hopsack/tweed wool if you want to be informal or worsted wool if you want to be formal. Your current jacket looks very cheap and I'd guess it's of fused construction. Your shirt looks bad because it looks like you finished work. If you're going to wear that collar, you need a tie. No tie= button down.

Also, the problem with the collar isn't the size, it's just the buttons being set too low which means you aren't getting the right bell roll. Get your tailor to raise them half an inch or so and you'll get the real curl no prob.
