No one asked but Im presenting my update after one month of owning a Kamasu.

Accuracy out of box- roughly 12 SPD with half of time on wrist and half on nightstand in dial up position. Will try to experiment with different positions when not wearing the watch to see the impact on accuracy. Overall reasonable accuracy for a entry level mechanical watch. Could be slightly better but I can live with this and wont try to regulate it for now.

Lume is great for everyday usability of watch. Doesnt pack a punch like seiko but lasts very long time. Passive luminiscence is very underated feature- compare it with a G-shock which in order to check time in dark, you have to use both hands. Not practical when driving.

Timing bezzel is a fun feature for someone who never had a divers watch. Practical and bezel clicking sounds much better than in video reviews.

Already scratched the fucker when I walked into the wall on day two of ownership- tiny scratch on upper lug. So now I no longer have the "new unscratched" watch anxiety.

Noticed when I was fucking around with UV light- day wheel is reflecting the UV light as if lumed but its not glowing afterwards. Date wheel doesnt do this.

One month may not be enough time for the watch to settle into a steady state, since the movement's lubrication may have relocated per gravity between time of manufacture and when you started using it. For example my Boctok used to do +2 to +5 s/d, and then stabilized at +8s/d average; and my Invicta 8926OB (NH35) would do +15s/d, then went to -1s/d, and is now at roughly +2s/d. My ST16 Black-Bay clone (by Corgeut, since someone's gonna ask) did -7s/d at first, four months later it's -12s/d.

Most diving watches have some level of "antimagnetism" because there are ISO standards for magnetic resistance and movements themselves have generally evolved so all but the most shit tier ones have some small baseline resistance to everyday magnetism. Unless you are holding your shit up to amplifiers or jumping into Stargates it won't make much of a difference.
Or you can get a quartz dive watch because quartz is inherently much more antimagnetic than mechanical.

Bid the maximum amount that you're willing to pay for the lot in the last 20 seconds of the auction. You might win and will probably pay less than your maximum bid, or you'll lose and will have avoided paying more than you were willing to.
Don't keep bidding incrementally, you'll fuck up your budget discipline with thoughts of "it's only a bit more than my maximum", that bit more can quickly turn in to a lot more.
Also play around with eBay and figure out how bidding goes on most lots, maybe even bid yourself when the price is so low that there's zero chance of actually winning, you'll quickly discover how often people bid when there's still days left on a listing.
The absolute most important thing to remember with eBay is that items are listed for 7 or 10 days so that the most people possible can find them and then bid when the listing has nearly finished. Bidding before then is virtually a waste of time. The only time I've ever bid early on a listing is when it was poorly described, I knew not many people would see it but I wanted the seller to know they someone was bidding, which made it unlikely that the listing got deleted.

Once the auction is over the winner does have the option to cancel their winning bid and back out, but eBay makes it a pain in the ass and can fuck your account if you do it too much, so yeah there is virtually no Chance of the winner backing out.

>>15621577
Do you not know how an auction works? Whoever pays the most wins the item. If you really want it you’ll bid until you’re the highest bidder. If you want to know what the other guys bid is at place bids in dollar increments until you’re the highest bidder. But he’s likely to come back and just outbid you again especially if you only put your bid a dollar over his price.

Those looking for cheap vintage shitters can check out the auctions on Dr. Ranfft's site, it's quite cozy and stress-free compared to Ebay. Most sellers are nice European boomers, there's usually just a few bidders if any, the reserve prices are public and a new bid prolongs the auction by 5 minutes:

On the other hand there's much less items to bid on and most sellers will only ship inside the EU.

I have the stela chrono and it broke after 4 months. Was fixed on warranty though. On this movement there seem to be very differing opinions:
It’s either considered cheap chink shit or a time tested workhorse. Don’t know if my experience is a fluke or an indication towards the first.
But it IS a cheap movement, so you gotta have somewhat low expectations. That said, I’m happy with my strela and I would love to have the seagull too (and the hked Bundeswehr chrono) but I won’t buy more watches with that movement until I have some more use out of my strela. Also, the chrono seconds hand moves very jumpy, and I actually use the chrono (though I’m moving towards a digital one, it’s just more practical for actual work!) which is annoying my ‘tism.

The thing about the chinese shitters is that people only go on about muh sapphire, muh milled clasp, only looking at the specs sheet with zero critical thinking and believing based just based on that that they're getting a great deal. Guys, it's made in China. Even if you decide to believe the specs, you're ignoring that the actual quality is normal China tier. It might be fine if you're lucky, but it might also run 3 hours fast a day, catch fire after a week and poison your groundwater with heavy metals.
