I used to wear these but eventually grew out of needing to. Not just physically, but mentally. Once you take your shoes off after you get home and remember that it's all fake, it really put it into perspective how meaningless the act of doing it even is.

I have a regular insole, the gel ones that help your feet from aching, and it's like .5 inches. Mix that with a shoe that has a heel that's like an inch and you gain good height. I think anything more than that can get noticable.

I liftmaxx. I can get to 6'2 from 5'7 with my lifts and a heeled shoe.

I can imagine it in hypercompetetive societies like china or korea, but is height really that big of a deal in civilized world? Am 6'3 and never really noticed it being an advantage with girls(being an ugly sperg might have something to do with it), just sometimes people ask me to reach for high placed things and often at xl size clothes suddenly become more expensive.

all my tall friends have a hard time fitting into sports cars too. any taller than you and it starts severely limiting your choices unless you're willing to mod the car like weld in fixed position seats, change the pedals out or something like that.

I've been wearing them for 6 years now. Whatever you do, don't go over 2 inches or you'll look ridiculous. Already made that mistake once. When I first started doing it, I shoved 3 inch lifts into a pair of high top converse shoes. My heal keep like sticking out through my shoes lol, I was a fucking dumb ass. Make sure you're wearing a boot or high top shoe with thicker fabric. Nike air maxes tend to work alright too or generic basketball shoes.

I usually wear 1.18” ones because those can fit in shoes that are about your size, anyrhing more than that and you need to size up if you’re not wearing high tops and your feet look disproportionally weird. Bonus though is your shoe selection is increased and you can size up if your size is out or at the store in person or something
