after handling arguably the three most popular sports watches (submariner, speedmaster and daytona), I can clearly see why the rolex submariner is the KING of sports watches.
the daytona may be more exclusive, but chronographs seem to have a nerdy vibe (much more noticeable on the speedmaster). the tacymeter is tacky. divides 3600 by x, big whoop. never use that or the chrono timer. feels silly to have them.
the submariner, on the other hand, exudes masculine energy and signals that the owner FUCKS.
you really can't go wrong with any of these three, but aiming for the submariner is always a sure bet.
just gotta figure out what's up with the movement issues on the submariner.

i almost don't mind the size increase (probably since i never handled a 5 digit), but the ceramic bezel is just unfitting. i hate how it reflects the light at certain angles and becomes gray. i'm sure i would like a 5 digit better with the aluminum bezel.
but the worst part seems to be the movement issues on these new 12 series. seems like sooner or later all rolex with 32xx movements will go to shit and a service doesn't resolve the issue.
so i need to either go search for a 5 digit (which is just as expensive as a new one, so seems like a dumb move) or wait for the new reference, which may make things even worse.

The metal band is the worst I've ever had the misfortune to have contact with. The real kicker is that the lugs are nearly impossible to add anything other than the OEM strap. It was a pain in the ass, but I managed to get a 71604816 casio strap to fit on it.
