IRL socially fucked up wizard with no fashion sense here. I've pretty much been wearing the same hoodie every day for the past year. I'm starting a job soon where people would be able to tell that I wear the same stuff every day though, so I need to get some new clothes.

One issue is that I have a poor sense of what "normal" clothing is. I've been called the "nazi jacket guy" among other things, so this lack of sense is a real problem for me.

So, what's something you could wear that's not a hoodie (or fancy, then I'd feel pretentious), that looks decent, and that doesn't send any strong signals?

get some basic shirts, tees and a couple well fitting decent quality pants.
Also : lurk more. It helps you to get a sense what will work and what doesnt.

But dont delve too deep. Most fits that are posted here for inspo are either too hard to pull off or far removed from reality.

depends on what ur looking to get out of fashion, but you should buy basic tshirts, button shirts (OCBD), jeans, sweaters and hoodies, and make sure they ALL fit. get your measurements and make sure they match closest with the sizes you're buying. check out uniqlo and h&m as decent basic shops.
