What are the best pants to wear with leather boots? I bought a pair of Redwing Blacksmiths but am now realizing my 511's look like shit (ankle opening is still so wide, completely drapes the top of the boot. Pinrolling won't stay in). Would olive joggers work? I feel like the skinny look is nice with boots

We got similar boots to these issued by the greek army, wore them daily for 8 months or so, they get comfy when they take your foot's shape, but not so much before that. I never liked the look, very one-dimensional in terms of what outfit you can wear them with, and will generally make you look like an autist.

search ebay for german/austrian paratrooper boots. Here is the stock image you will usually find them with
They're pretty roomy inside but generally fit true to size. I've been wearing them with regular socks but I feel like they'd fit perfectly with hiking socks.

The sole is very chunky at the front which I'm not sure I like. I'm considering getting them resoled with something slightly thinner

Dunno about boots, but see if this helps.

desu a lot of the lacing styles that look good (like straight lacing) are pretty fucking useless as a functional lacing system.

Nothing beats the traditional way of lacing for practicality and comfort.

So I ordered some Bundeswehr Pilotenstiefel and they arrived today. I'm pretty happy with them. I am going to remove the middle zipper tho, since they look too bulky with it imo.

The leather quality is pretty good tho. I would definitely recommend these if anyone wants to pick them up.I got them from this link. If you are debating between sizes then go a size down. I ordered size 42 since I usually wear 42-42,5 but someone who is 43 could definitely fit in these.

Copped these, conditioner made them a little darker but still look great.

I have these as well, but mine have different laces and different material on the inside. Then again I only paid 40 or 50€ for mine. They feel like they are too large but they are the correct size according to the Bundeswehr sizing chart. Mine are size 44.
