As a whole, it's not a bad guide, can definitely take someone from slob to basic or even decently outfitted.

It's a bit too tame tame though. No basketball shoes is a good prompt to get someone to try to dress "better" as a whole, but to act like no basketball shoes could be /fa/ is way dumb.

Same with work boots/Timberlands. Those can certainly be worn casually.

Maybe bring up some actual fit ideas like some simple, layering, cuffing, and also mention simple accessories like sunglasses, watches, etc

I'd just say "Do yourself" in short. Saying shit like 'you don't want to commit yourself solely to one style' is just confusing, I don't necessarily commit myself to 'ones style' but everything I wear is me, it's my style, so it is one style. It's such arbitrary definition that people here will just understand to mean different "cores" or what have you.

This is just about knowing your body and what works for it, of course doesn't need to be slim but be honest to yourself, if slim doesn't suit you, don't wear it and if it does, don't deny yourself from wearing slim stuff.
