they should last you decades with proper care of the leather and resoling 1-3 times when needed.

i'd try to find a second hand pair - check ebay, grailed, depop.

Never pay retail. I see Ann D boots going on sale most of the time - 30%, 40% - if you're quick you might get them at 50%, but they sell out fast then.

What are some good boots that aren't too clunky? I wanted to cop some paraboots but Kommandostore hasn't got em in my size and I heard eBay stores aren't too reliable. Pls recommend some not too pricy alternatives.

Black modern combat boots for the terrorwave silhouette

Taller is better for tucking. If you're short, boots have a tendency to swallow your legs when you tuck, but when you're tall it can balance your proportions a little. With Corcorans you should definitely tuck imo. With a more modern style boot if you don't want to that's fine but it'll make the silhouette of your legs a bit bulkier overall, which I think often works with bulky tactical vests but might be harder to pull off if you're just wearing a t shirt and a light jacket or something

I need some black boots for winter streets, since there can be a lot of rain here with some snow.

Kind of like the look of these after Blade Runner, but I've also heard they are shit and will fall apart pretty fast.

Any recommendations for some boots with a similar profile? Plain styling is better, seems a lot of boots have a silly tacticool cut to them. Going to be wearing them with black jeans, not tucked since I have pretty strong legs.

They were made to be worn with boot socks, so that's probably what you want. Check out the socks on Kommandostore for an example. Get some nice long woollen boot socks wherever for max comfort.

Given the backdrop of the movie, I doubt they’re from leather. That means you’ll actually have to look up how to take care of synthetic materials. I agree, but would add that there are other european brands like Carmina or Lottusse that are high quality. And other that are very good value lile Berwick or Meermin.

I use as examples spanish brands because they are what i know best. Bear in mind that i am a huge Cheaney fan also.

Timberlands have notoriously shitty quality, and why do you want boots with a construction company logo on them? do you work construction lol?

>> No.12877341

Okay so these just came in and they are nice as fuck. Look WAY better in person than in the pictures.

Corcorans look ok from the top-down, but they are still a bit big from the side. Not *quite* as chunky as Docs, but they won't do skinny legs any favors. Extremely thick leather and the shaft of the boot is also super wide, so unless you've got a pair of drum sticks, they aren't going to hug your leg at all when fully laced (and they'll look like pirate boots when partially laced/flared out).

Plenty of other jump boot options out there. Look at Ro Search boots, which you can find at any surplus store. Ansi/Biltrite combats are good too, but they tend to have steel toes so unless you find a pair that fits you perfectly, don't spring for them as the toes will NOT stretch.

Know anything about Sarmas?

>> No.12877768

Nope. Judging by the photos, they seem to have the bulk of Corcorans, so I'd be wary if your legs are on the thin side. Leather in the photo looks to be a bit thinner and softer than Corcs as well.

The description does state that the sole is glued to the boot, not nailed and/or stitched like Corcs. While there's nothing wrong with that (the Ro Search boots are also glued), you're paying way too much for what is essentially a lower quality boot.

A Ro Search will run you anywhere from $30-$60 USD, which is appropriate for its cheap build. A Corcoran $130-150. These Sarmas cost more than that and appear to offer less.

How do Corcorans fit when compared to DMs? I wear a size UK9.5 on DMs (9UK in a pinch, but EU44/UK9.5 fits more firmly) and I have mildly wide feet, so 9.5E?

will i get bashed if i wear white laces on docs?

>> No.12878395

Depends on where you live, how revelant the neo nazi skinhead scene was there. Generally i would advice against

>> No.12878410

Depending on where anon lives, in London I've seen a multitude of colours on doc's in the city

It's a geographical thing regarding the laces, some colours mean different things across the sea.

Regardless, it's very rare that any true skinheads are still actively walking the streets.

>> No.12878419

Here in East London, ox-blood boots with yellow laces used to signify you were a skinhead.

Almost certain this doesn't stand true in the states.

i guess it's not worth taking the risk
