Yeah, I do, and I can honestly tell you they're uncomfortable as hell. Somebody on here once posted some evidently quite comfortable ones, but I can't remember the make or model. But honestly, I would choose ANYTHING over Altama - there is probably no way on Earth you could do worse and accidently find a pair even more uncomfortable than them

Yep. When I was in the Army those are the standard issue boots, in desert tan and now it's like a coyote color.

They're heavy, uncomfortable as fuck, and destroy your feet trying to break them in. Unless they fit perfectly they'll just be uncomfortable and it's a shitty experience all around.
As soon as I was out of basic training I bought new boots from the PX and never looked back.

Personally I enjoy the original issue boots the most. I'm currently rocking the modern Altama PX 10.5 boots. Theres nothing bad about these boots in terms of quality, however the fit is larger than normal jungle boots (I can wear a size 7 OG jungle boot but had to downsize to 6, now I wish I went 5-5.5 on these Altamas). Altama just got a new government contract to make new revision jungle boots for the military so currently the only shoes you can buy from them directly are made in The Phillipines right now. They are NOT the Jungle 2 boot that is being produced for the military. NEVER buy the 30-40 dollar Rothco's, they are cheap made in china boots and the sole is not properly vulcanized to the boot, the soles will wear down then rip off in a couple months.

So here's my recommendation: find OG jungle boots from a REAL milsurp place (usually cost around 60-80 bucks, and are batches typically from the early 80's). If you buy online, the only place I found with real OG boots was at Omahas Army Surplus website. Here in Norcal, finding real milsurp is almost impossible, when I was in Utah for a trip, the milsurp was plentiful and cheap as fuck too.

>> No.13355736

>>13355725
Also the price of OG jungle boots is increasing exponentially from what I've found. Unless you find a milsurp place in person, you may end up paying around 120 for a pair of original issue boots. At which you point you have to decide if its worth it, otherwise the Phillipine Altamas are very good for around the same price point, just keep in mind the larger sizing. OR you can wait a few more years for the Jungle 2 Military issue boots to start popping up on the market at some point. The Jungle 2 looks like a really cool boot, but none of us civilians will be getting our hands on them for quite a while

I bought these boots a couple years ago, maybe more, but I've just used them a few times, perhaps less than ten times. Alright so the upper left is Corcoran and the bottom boot is Rocky.

The Rocky boots have a softer, more pliable leather that are more flexible on the foot. The toe box is a little wider on the Rocky's, where as the Corcoran has a slimmer cut, more contoured to the foot and ankle as you can probably tell. Also, the Corcoran leather is spit shine, and is a tad stiffer. Both of these boots are unlined. As far as comfort goes, Corcoran feels better but the Rocky boot is more fitted if that makes sense. Corcoran specializes in service boots, so they are a little but more reassured than the Rocky's.

Fit....I wear a 13 in Danner and all tennis shoes, but a 12 in these two boots. They run a tad big.

I bought Corcoran 1500 boots and my sister said I'm gonna look like a school shooter with them since my face is apparently already unsettling (not as in ugly, but I hear people think I look like a psycho or some shit which is retarded and that's what my sisters always tell me, that their friends think I look like a killer)

Should I wear them anyway? How to pull them off without looking like a "killer"? Clothes I should wear etc

Those look like your basic chink-made "goth/punk/army/metal/BDSM"-ranger boots. They're usually shitty, glued soles and corrected grain-leather all around. If you really want a pair just like that, look for vintage DMs, Solovair or Gripfast. Otherwise, skip all that garbage and go for a pair of Corcoran's jump-boots, Rocky's or something along the lines of pic-related and milsurp.

i'm an exact 8 in solovair and red wings boots and i'd say they fit like an 8.5
you probably want to go down a size from your sneaker size, since most people wear sneakers that are too large for their feet
