I'm the guy who posted Mifune, I live in Greece and study in one of the top universities. Everyone is middle to upper middle class but the infatuation with rap and street culture is enough to ostracize someone for wearing something class and occasion appropriate even among his peers. In general, prep clothing has lively colors and draws from a pool of classic items that are usually semi formal in nature. You could probably find some SLP stuff in line with that approach to clothes, but it might be somewhat difficult.

To some extent, what you want is contradictory. Prep usually relies on being clean-cut and having classic pieces. However, you could take a rougher or ruffled approach to it all. Make your clothes look lived in and casual (don't iron your shirts, for instance) to get that unorthodox flair. You can also wander more into the outdoorsy side of things since many prep items fall into that category and are adjacent to other clothing that might be more in line with your style. I could potentially give more specific details or pointers if you offered an example of something you want to pull off or an ideal fit pic.

Depends on the resort and what you're doing. I personally hate thong sandals and avoid them as much as possible, but sometimes they're just good for convenience. White Haviana's work fine in that regard if you're not doing anything active.

Most of my vacation/weekend time is active and boat/canoe shoe works fine; no socks, no problems.

I got a pair recently and I think they're pretty solid. I heard a lot of their bad reviews were because they briefly started manufacturing overseas but I think they've shifted back to domestic manufacturing. Mine are USA made anyway.

I’ve got the blue/grey, it’s definitly a bit baggy but you can layer more easily that way.

Ultimately, it’s well made but basic-tier with a fit that might not suit those after a slim cut. Personally, I’m currently eyeing a waxed navy canvas LVC one but that’s way more expensive than these.
