In terms of aesthetics, sure, sneakers are overused. It's terrible that boosties are being wasted on skinnyfat redditors who are winded after walking up two flights of stairs.

However, in terms of comfort some sneakers are. so. fucking. comfortable. So I can't really blame them. IDK what they are putting into sneakers now but UBs and their other related sneakers are so fucking comfortable.

I love the aesthetic of some chucks better than most sneakers and I like the worn in look of chucks, but that flat bottom sole is a pain in the dick and 80% of people I see wearing chucks end up with pronated ankles.

Maybe a good insole is the solution?

As a major bootfag, I gotta say, my pair of Air Force 1 Mid's have been the most comfortable sneaker that I've worn in a good fucking while. Vans, Converse, Puma, even my actual running shoe-Nikes suck dick compared to these fuckhuge buns of thrashing destruction. They're also really warm, toasty enough in the 5F-weather here up north.

Yeah that's the point. You should get some sneakers in clean white or tan/brown leather to mix high and low. I tried wearing loafers with jeans- it isn't easy, unless the material is different.

I just picked these up and I love their feel and look. I've been wearing the same Air Jordan's since 2013 so it was such a crazy upgrade.
Also got some New Balance trail running shoes and the AF1's are even comfier than those (if only slightly).
