non /fa/ balding autist here, wearing socks with black sandals as I write. Saw the thread on the front page. I get a buzzcut every six months or so whether I need it or not. During the initial "oh my god" phase of covid I did it myself two times and I never got a negative comment, so I don't think I did a terrible job. Still, I prefer to give a pro 20bux for the ten minutes of work so it looks reasonably sharp when it's done. I console myself that the shape of my head is pretty good.
