how to make a cane work?

24 M. working out and doing physical therapy cuz I have a rare genetic muscle weakness but it’s getting to the point where it might be a good idea to get a cane. It’d be good for long walks and stair climbing especially and give my right hip and lower back some relief.

I normally dress slightly preppy or casual and im also a grad student atm. Any recs for canes? Anyone have any experience using one?

My grandad has this totally dope Indian ebony one where the handle of the cane is an elephants head. Try looking at auctions, vintage etc.

I wouldnt worry about making it "work", if you need the thing for medical reasons then i wouldnt give a damn what others think
With that being said just go to thrift shops looking for them until you find one with a cool design that speaks to you. im a europoor and they have these cheap looking wooden ones at my local variety store but im sure you can find one better than that

I think that classic fashion better suits Canes than modern things
