hello /fa/

/out/doorsman here, they sent me here.

I'm currently looking for a knife that will make me look dapper as fuck, and will make everyones head turn when I take it out and pretend to cut something I totally could have used my hands to rip open.

Knives are easily the most interesting things you can carry with you at all times, not for utility, but because it makes you look really neat and smart and stuff.

I was thinking of getting a mora like picrelated and polishing the blade to look really nice, but I was wondering if any of you carry a bladed accessory around with you as part of your outfit. Does it have to match? do you keep one on your hip or should it be hidden, and only flashed if the opportunity arises to cut some paper?

Any help would be appreciated.

this might be a troll thread but

i'm interested in your knife philosophy. i honestly think it has to do with insecurities regarding masculinity.

can you expand on why they are cool to carry around

It's not got to do with insecurity regarding masculinity. More to do with safety. If you live around dangerous people, it's reassuring to know you can protect yourself better than your bare hands (if you aren't trained proficiently in some martial arts).

Most people who are armed don't live in some safe suburb, they are armed because they live around violence. It is pointless to arm yourself in a safe suburb.

Just get a Swiss, they're 20x more useful and you don't look like a semi-psychotic prick who carries a knife to parties

Because there's nothing safer than getting yourself into a knife fight...
