Skipped day 8 for various reasons and didn't draw much but today I finally finished Chapter 4 of Reed's book which went over 'box-people' which is what I was trying to do with some of these figures.
Ever since I started Reed's book, it felt like it was easier and easier to approach a figure when before it was frightening to put down my first mark.
The Line, Shape, Form method works for me and I think it is what I needed to be able to get out of the absolute beginner slump of figure drawing and be able to approach a drawing with confidence.
Sounds like a shameless plug but i haven't found a book that matched its usefulness and practicality yet after looking through almost 300 books.

I quite like it. I am thinking of incorporating three colors next so that in my third stage it would be me fleshing out the contours after first getting down the lines and the forms.
