That fear is good, you learn when you're scared
Andrew Huberman has a good video about neuroplasticity and that frustration you feel is necessary for the learning process (in some cases, especially when you're not that young anymore)
the thing is, you just have to keep going, you one improve in one session, but rather after going to sleep and having a good rest, the next day you'll feel better, but it's a slow progress till you finally feel like you're getting there
in my experience, you feel like a God when you finally can finally draw a complicated pose but then you find a new obstacle and you feel like a piece of shit again
don't get swayed by emotion too much, just be consistent

How do you learn to draw when you are self-taught? I can draw something from pictures but I don't really know what I am looking at, so when I am trying to recreate something similar, I just can't. There's obviously a way to go about that but I don't really know how. Is there a specific method of learning I should look into? Like I said, I've been drawing different things for some time now but I can't draw anything by myself
