However, I can persume the creator ignored the term shonen, since its meaningless, and just made a list of great female protagonists.
Saying off the top of your head when you just checked the wiki is not a good look.
Kill la kill and gunbuster are anime originals, which means they don't have a demographic label.
Go back to the wiki chart you just read, notice that the seinen label is under the manga adaptations on young ace.
This is a nice segway to another example of how useless the label is.
Gainax and all of the studio formed from former staff have a habit of making manga adaptations to their originals.
kiznaiver, klk, and gunbuster were all seinen, but since Kentaro Yabuki works exclusively with shonen jump, even though the themes are on par and there is a pussy in every chapter DITF manga is in shonen jump.
