Editorial note: Bancroft did go to Calarts but apparently didn't graduate, make of that what you will. Calarts tuition was also >$17,000 a year (when adjusted for inflation, actual cost was around $8500) in 1989 as opposed to nearly three times that today.

Make no mistake, the Giano is a great tablet; easily the best currently available for the money, and the second best overall-but it's not perfect. The Wacom stylus is just better and it's definitely something to consider. It's unfortunate that such a simple thing represents a huge increase in price, but personally I don't advocate being cheap if you can help it. This is something you'll ideally be using for at least 5 hours a day, every day. If you really don't want to spend 300+ bones on a used tablet though-and I don't blame you if you don't-the Giano is a great, inexpensive substitute and certainly better than any of Wacom's other offerings short of the larger Cintiq models.
