I'd say Seel is successful too, but as someone who knew him personally, he is actually a bearded, hairy fat man in his early 40s, hence the only reason his animations are seen as high quality compared to the majority of videos produced by teens and kids. I do agree with you mostly and don't get why would anyone watch the same repetitive generic "cute oc dancing" videos daily. However, if you do it right, you do gain practice for at least drawing. However, obviously, most animation memes don't have much effort put into, so it's quite a wasted trend. Animation memes about 8 years ago used to be alright though sometimes.

If you watch Youtube a lot, you'll notice that it just isn't the art community that is like this, it is every community.

Sleepykinq has tapped into the meme market, and their art style fits the memes they make, though not my thing.

kittydog can't draw very well, but her animations are cute and you can watch them over and over again. They have a charm to them.

I also think that because these people draw stuff that any beginner can do, people (mostly kids) tend to relate to them more. Because they literally can do what they do with minimal effort.

I draw/animate in a much more detailed art style heavily based on realistic anatomy and I tend to detail fur heavily on the face and draw insomniac/crazy eyes, would I still make it in the animation community? A couple of girls, to my surprise, have called my art cute probably due to me more often animating cats since it's easier (flat faces are less effort), I do know yeagar draws detailed work and is popular except her characters still have Weeb eyes making them cute. So I'd probably be really unique compared to the popular people in the community, and unique doesn't always mean you can fit in much and make it in certain areas since people prefer what they're more used to.
