Where people are coming from is you putting minimal artistic value on your work where you just recreate you reference rather than allowing it yo assist you. In the same way its unacceptable to copy a thesis and rearrange or change some words and stamp your name on it, people don't take kindly to you make a lesser version of your reference 1:1.

Using animation as an example of tracing just exemplifies you have no idea what you're talking about; Your examples aren't comparable. You let your emotions get the best of you and it would be best if you remove that video because it really hurts your image, but you're fee to do whatever obviously. Your points are flimsy and filled with fallacy. First of all art and thesis is not a 1:1 comparison, that is a red herring. Tracing is not plagiarism. Tracing is part of the fine arts technique called image transfer. There are many ways to trace. It is a technique to help artist produce faster. As an animator, they trace frame by frame. This is taught to anyone who had a the Animator's Survival Kit.

I am capable of freehand and construct. But when it comes to Coom art, I refuse to reinvent the wheel. I choose to study from good reference. And that is how you truly improve, you acknowledge that there are others who are greater than you and you learn from them what truly works. Someday, when I fully understand what makes coom art works, I will then move on to construction. For now, all my coom art is heavily referenced.

There are old technology invented by old masters to trace. It is called Camera obscura and the later version, Camera Lucida. This is the reason why i created that video in the first place. Some people are simply uneducated about art and yet they have so much opinions about art.
