Minor update pushed. I would've had more features tacked onto this, but I haven't had the time and the annoying formatting issue is pressing enough to merit immediate resolution.

Accordingly to some metrics, we've been having memory usage problems, resulting in slower response time, so a good chunk of my time will be dedicated to looking into that.

Also, in the interest of having a SINGLE place to talk about existing and upcoming site features, bugs in the website, and general user experience, I was thinking about opening a generic forum for anyone who wants to get involved in the discussion (so that I don't have to jump between the email, two discords and 4chan). Anyone have any recommendations of what forum-making sites are best for this? It can be pretty barebones.

The problem is that we have two separate discord servers, and I also want to consult the threads as well. Also, not all DAD users use 4chan, nor either Discord.
It may be a bad idea to have a forum because it might "split" the community areas more, but it's also possible that since this 100% dedicated to dev updates and stuff, everyone will know that is the place to discuss things and will slowly gravitate there.

I have considered having this be a part of the site itself. The obvious disadvantage there being that it would require more time and effort, but a massive boon towards accessibility... everyone's suggestions are associated with a name so that we know they're actual users and contributors to the site.

I'm just mulling over whether the time tradeoff is worth it when other things need to be put in place (qol fixes, comments, etc).

Just wanted to pop in and say that after browsing the current and upcoming prompts for challenges (haven't had a chance to during my hiatus), they have been excellent and all the prestiges thusfar are appropriately assigned, with respect to how it relates to prompt, time provided, design decisions and risk/challenge. Moreover, all of them have been very open-ended to any artist, regardless of skill.

I would like to know too lol. But I feel graphic design is a lot more about theory and reading than drawing in general. Reading+experimenting+understanding the program you use should be all. Using references (just as drawing) and doing analysis from editorial stuff around you. Then again I don't know much and I don't consider myself a pro at all (and if anything I think my stuff is below regular) so if you're interested you should totally ask some pros on behance! I've started to draw just for fun for the past few days.

It's sad that I won't improve as fast as it's possible. But it's the best I can do right now: after a tiring day of work, of forcing myself to smile to insipid customers I don't have enough willpower to start grinding my fundies when I just want to relax. From my multiple deaths I've learned that when I'm really tired I'm more likely to give up on drawing altogether rather than grind just for 30 minutes. But drawing for fun? It looks like I can do that always, even when I'm half asleep and in awful mood.

But now I'm thinking its not skill but experience started at a early age. Post-frequency does not change automatically. Moreover, when making submissions, the post frequency field is automatically set to whatever your current frequency is for DAD.

You might have accidentally selected it, or tabbed over and hit the up arrow or something.

Please note that, if you think it's a bug, let me know asap.
The programmed behavior is for that field to show up as your streak, and some initial testing indicates that it's working, but if you notice something odd, let me know.

I'll be posting a link to it on the website, but essentially, I'm kind of getting sick of losing track of various things that I need to accomplish by jotting them down on random .txt files on my computer and then losing track of them.

So I decided to have them consolidated into one place, and allow people to see what features/issues I'm aware of and what's in the works. I couldn't find a suitable free bit of software that emulates what I'm doing here, but if you know of something, please let me know.
