This is exactly like that "draw the fucking owl" meme

It's literally drawing straight lines.
Just move your pen from point A to point B along a ruler.
That shouldn't be too hard, right?

>>3739786
actual brainlet, take a ruler and draw a dot, now rotate that ruler from the base of the dot.

What does this exercise actually help with when doing it yourself?

>> No.3739840

1. draw a vertical line.
2. draw a dot on the line somewhere
3. draw two straight lines outpouring from that dot

Vandruff managed to teach a retard like me to draw circles in perspective so I'll be shilling his series until the day I die (there are torrents if you're poor too).

Not me, whenever I see someone streaming their drawfagotry they dont do this math shit.

>> No.3739919

>>3739911
It's not really maths shit, just basic perspective geometry. It may look intimidating at first, but just take it slow, follow exactly what the tutorial is saying and give it a good go. I would recommend Scott Robertson's "How to Draw" book - it eases you into perspective with some very easy beginner exercises, and slowly increases in complexity as you start to learn more techniques. I despise mathematics, but this stuff is very useful and very rewarding once you get it down.

human beings are pretty good at intuitively understanding 3d forms. no need to hinder your creativity with overcomplicated rules: if it looks good to you, it will look good to the audience

or use a 3d program, if you're into that

Don't listen to the retards: Real pros don't waste time with that imprecise, time-consuming bullshit
I dare you to find a pro streaming using that: irl you either eyball everything, or use a 3d model, if you need some fancy architecture

It's from point A (vp 1) to point C1 to C13 and
Point B (vp 2) to point D1 to D13 to be exact. Add in a horizon and you're done.

Actually the easiest thing when it comes to drawing. It's barely math

>> No.3740937

Why do people like to complicate perspective? Its so easy, yet people like to draw a million lines.

Step one draw a horizon line.

Step two choose a point in that line to be the vanishing point

Step three draw a square (this will be the front of you're cube)

Step four, draw lines from the corners of the square to the vanishing point.

You now have perspective

its depending on how many points you have that it becomes complicated 3-5 points usually have a fuck ton of lines
idk why ppl like to overcomplicate 1 point perspective though

OP, if you can't figure it out from whatever source you're using, try another on perspective, maybe a youtube video
Other points of view could help you understand it better

One thing I've never really grasped from modern guides on perspectives is how are angles of view and distance from the viewer to the object in the scene supposed to be constructed. For instance, if I wanted to draw a room in perspective if I was inside of it. I know there are rules for this kind of stuff, because it's exactly how a computer should render objects in perspective, but I've yet to see that knowledge applied to the arts.
