Faggots.

With the use of this reference, how would /ic/ utilize the fundamentals and solve the problem of dimensions in a stylized moeblob? Note the angle of the head and the cupping of the left eye by the nose bridge, how would you approach this cupping issue while holding onto the style? Be creative, you must show the cupping effect of the left eye while holding onto the iconic moeshit features with respect to the angle of the head.

>The entire figure must be drawn and compatible with the head.
>No copying off an animay or using a 3dsoftware, this problem must be solved entirely by you.
>Use Loomis where applicable.

At least attempt to solve this exercise for yourself, you don't have to post it if you feel paranoid about someone stealing your approach.

Good work, you got the form down except for the bug eyed moeshit but you got the idea down.

Study the proportions closely, and observe how different parts of the figure are in relation to one another for example the hand is the same size as a face or from the sternum to the end of your shoulder. Don't just copy the outline but work with cylindrical, box and spherical forms while placing them in perspective and then refine these basic forms with anatomy.

You did a better job with the realistic figure's subtle 3/4 turn of the head. The stylized version is closer to a profile view which makes it seem like you wanted to avoid clipping the right eye at a 3/4 view at that angle. You also didn't reference the figure when you stylized it.

The main thing I've done is lots of figure drawing. Quickpose websites (mainly 30s-60s studies because we're simply looking to capture outlines, foreshortening and poses) as well as figures from imagination (mainly this, see my Twitter if you want a progress/cringe compilation). Anatomy for Sculptors by Zarins has been a huge help to me (my anatomy still needs work though), I often keep it open while drawing. When I was /beg/ I would copy the surface musculature diagrams and make dummies to wrap the muscles around. The last thing would be to keep an inspiration folder: whenever you draw something (breasts, eyes, hands, whatever) and it doesn't look appealing, you can just go into your inspiration folder and see how your idols do it. You can of course do pure studies or you can draw your own figures and lift their designs onto them. It doubles as an exercise in staying on model and it makes your eyes better at recognizing what actually creates different styles, proportions and shapes etc. If you do these things you're doing exactly what I was and am doing, the rest is mileage. Also the construction I used in this thread was based on HitoKaku (face and head edition) but that's a more recent discovery for me.

It means you didn't try to depict the woman's face, but rather, drew a doll-like face instead, one that you have experience drawing.

Essentially, you drew a face which looks nothing like the woman in the reference.

I think the issue with trying to go from a realistic figure to a heavily abstracted one is in the shape design, which anime relies heavily on for appeal. And then the anime girl will have different forms and proportions, so different ranges of motion.
