What is /ALT/?
If you're looking for a place to post your cartooning then you've found the right general. This is /ic/s 1st and only merged hub where both Eastern and Western stylization can coexist peacefully, hence the double title. However, by community demand and long history, this is favorably an Anime general.

Can anyone reccomend me some good Krita brushes?

I would like a soft, light, smooth brush for sketching and a good thick ink brush for linework.
Most of the built in ones I've tried have really odd sensitivity issues and go from a near nonexistant line into a thick fuckin slab in no time. Any idea how to change this?

any hard pencil with pressure size will give you that result, my process is usually a sketch layer then draw it again more cleanly a new one with more details and correcting mistakes

Have you considered stylizing the face differently? Maybe embracing animu or going full Loomis, because something seems off.
I'm saying this because I have the same problem and I've been trying to fix my shit by trying other styles and proportions.
I actually made a few tweaks for myself in this particular drawing and now I think is more fappable.

Not that anon but I did them for you. I don't have PS installed and am using sai so you're gonna have to make due with a redline.

Your ear is too high, your entire face is skewed forward as well. It adds a derpy look. A few of your pictures in this thread have this issue. Focus more on the distances between features rather than the features themselves. Artists (specifically line artists) who hyper focus on making every little part look 'right' tend to miss things like this.

P.S, this is easily avoidable by leaving hair until after the face and head look right. If it looks right bald it'll look right when you draw hair over it. It's easy to miss because the hair hides the janky part. But those with a keen eye will still catch it, and those without will feel that something is vaguely off but wont be able to put their finger on it.

Basically I lowered the ear (that wasn't supposed to be visible anyway), made her look younger and more animeish by drawing the eyes below the mid part of the head, and I also made her look at the viewer because muh dick.

I know it's rude to mess with other people's work, specially when talking about styles, so sorry for that. But consider changing the way you draw faces if more people tell you the same. You're doing great anyway.

It looks like you’re trying to highlight each individual strand and doing it with pure white on top of that, which gives it that slimy look like >>3892517 mentioned. Notice how in pic related this chick’s hair has blocks of lighter values where the light hits it? Figure out where your light source is and do your highlights in blocks/shapes. Also instead of white, take your base hair color and shift it brighter so your highlights aren’t too bright. Try studying pics of real hair with this in mind to make your drawings more convincing, it’ll get you closer to that sexier hair you want.

This one the shoulders and head look like they're sliding away from her body. Overall I think you should zoom out more when drawing. individual details look fine but zoomed out the bodies look uncomfortably skewed.

as for if shes floating or not, i don't really know. i guess another problem i have is i don't plan ahead so i just put every part of the body in a random position and call it a pose. sucks cause i have all these cool poses in mind for male characters, but when i draw women my mind always goes blank and i unconsciously end up drawing more or less the same pose in the same perspective over and over
