That's not how shit works. The real use of making a referenced copy of someone else's stuff is to enlighten yourself to what you currently cannot easily do and planning out how to fix that through study.

I understand your intentions, but using tracing is generally a waste of time in comparison to what the budding artist could be doing otherwise.

Identifying negative spacing, controlling their strokes to have confident linework, ect. These things could be done by someone attempting to copy another artist without tracing and would be much more beneficial than just redrawing lines. Having an understanding of the form, for example, doesn't necessarily come to someone's attention if they're tracing artwork. They're probably more preoccupied with making sure the line is in the proper place instead of knowing how it fits within that proper place.
